Job-Shadowing Poland

 Poland

During my job shadowing experience in Poznań, at the "Dębinka" Primary School in Poland, I had the opportunity to observe the organization of teaching and the daily work of educators. I attended and observed a variety of lessons, including mathematics, Polish language, science subjects, health, and physical education, where I explored different teaching methods and educational approaches.

A strong emphasis was placed on active student participation, teamwork, and the development of critical thinking skills. Teachers frequently used project-based learning, group work, discussions, and inquiry-based teaching methods, which encouraged students' independence and creativity.

During my observations, I also became familiar with the effective use of digital technologies in education. Interactive whiteboards, online learning platforms, digital applications, and assessment tools such as Kahoot! were regularly used in lessons. These technologies increased student motivation and supported the development of their digital competences.

An important part of the educational process was environmental education. Students were encouraged to adopt a responsible attitude towards the environment, nature conservation, and sustainable living. Environmental topics were integrated into lessons through projects, practical activities, and discussions about recycling, energy conservation, and the protection of natural resources.

The job shadowing experience provided me with many new insights, inspirations, and examples of good practice that I can apply in my own teaching and when introducing modern and innovative approaches into the classroom.
