Poland

Monday

Monday, May 19, 2025, was very interesting, fun, but also challenging. In the morning, we arrived at school, where the girls from Poland sang two songs for us, and a boy played the piano. They then introduced us to the school with a video. After that, we were divided into five groups and shown around the school. After another break, we were split into seven groups, each of us received instructions in an envelope, and we traveled by bus to the forest. After a 40-minute ride, we arrived at the parking lot in the forest, opened the envelope, and read the instructions. We played the game HAKUN – in international groups, we had to find the stations on the printed map and complete the tasks at each one. We did various creative activities, such as performing a play on a certain topic, making an eco-device from available materials that would help us save our planet. The activities were fun, and each one brought something new. After completing the tasks and visiting all 10 stations, we all gathered in a wooden gazebo, where we roasted sausages, bread with lard, or cheese spread. Some of us joined in and sang songs by the fire. Around 5:00 PM, our host families came to pick us up, and then we had our program with them.

Tuesday

Tuesday, May 20, 2025, was very creative. We started the day by being divided into international groups and worked on a project with the theme of how to improve life in Europe. We had to come up with a proposal for this topic, which included a video and a speech. We had to communicate in English. After the project, we had a break to relax. Then came the workshops, where we were again split into international groups. We did various activities, such as embroidering a bag on a sewing machine, programming a robot, building an eco-city with building blocks, or calming our minds through meditation. Then we had a delicious lunch, which was combined with a birthday celebration. After lunch, we returned to activities and later followed with sports activities, where we played dodgeball. Around 3:30 PM, we went home with our host families and had a program with them

Friday

Friday morning began with watching videos that captured all our memories from the Sunday trip until Thursday evening. After that, each group was given a piece of paper on which we had to write what we liked, what we would change, our memories, what we learned, and what we had difficulties with. Around 10:00 AM, we took a bus to Kórnik Castle and the arboretum full of colorful flowers and various types of trees. After lunch, we walked around a lake, near which there was a ranch with alpacas, which we fed with carrots. Afterward, we went home with our host families and returned to school at 6:00 PM for the disco. On the stage, we danced to various songs, including Slovak ones, which I'm sure the other Erasmus students enjoyed too.
