Training in Malta

From July 7th to 11th, 2025, two of our teachers took part in a week-long training course on sunny Malta. The program not only offered an opportunity to improve their professional skills, but also to gain new experiences that will enrich the teaching process at our school.

Mgr. Lenka Lipničanová attended a course titled Boost Your ICT Skills, which focused on developing teachers' information and communication technology skills and on the practical use of various applications in teaching. The goal was to demonstrate how modern digital tools can motivate students, simplify the explanation of lesson content, and encourage active student participation. In addition to the professional content, the course was international – Ms. Lipničanová collaborated with colleagues from Poland and the Czech Republic, which led to an inspiring exchange of experiences.

Mgr. Tatiana Pitáková participated in the course Brush Up Your Teaching Skills, which focused on the methodology of foreign language teaching. The trainer introduced a wide range of activities aimed at developing all language skills – vocabulary, writing, grammar, reading, and listening comprehension. An interesting element of the course was the use of humor in the classroom, which helps create a positive atmosphere and supports memorization of new material. Ms. Pitáková worked alongside colleagues from Poland, Hungary, and the Netherlands, which gave her valuable insights into different educational settings.

Alongside the intensive training, the teachers also had the chance to explore the beauty of the picturesque Mediterranean island. Guided by local experts, they learned about Malta's rich history, culture, customs, and traditions. These experiences contributed not only to their personal enrichment but also to a deeper understanding of cultural context, which is an important aspect of modern education.

The knowledge, experiences, and inspiration they gained will continue to be applied in their daily work with our students. We believe their new insights will contribute to more engaging and innovative lessons and will serve as motivation for further professional development.

Finland - Helsinki

Helsinki

From August 18th to 23rd, 2025, I participated in a teacher training course in Helsinki, the capital of Finland, as part of the Erasmus+ program. The course focused on the use of online software and mobile applications that can enrich the teaching process across all subjects, not just ICT.

Alongside me, 11 teachers from various European countries (Italy, Germany, Austria, Greece, Cyprus, and Spain) took part in the course. The training was conducted in English and organized by Teacher Academy. The main instructor was Rodrigo Eyzaguirre from Peru, who guided us throughout the week—not only in terms of educational content, but also by offering valuable tips about the city of Helsinki and its surroundings.

I would definitely recommend this course to other colleagues interested in attending similar training within the Erasmus+ program.
